Something that's a mix of 3D platforming and combat. My thoughts is to have a 3D subseries (basically serving as DK's 64/Sunshine/Odyssey, Metroid Prime, Pokemon Legends, etc.) that plays like God of War, Knack, or the Werehog gameplay from Sonic Unleashed. That being said, I think the best way to shake up DK would be a 3D game, but one that's very different from what people expect.
